Box of Tricks Theatre have recently returned from this year's Latitude Festival, where they enjoyed a successful run of True Love Waits. Staged at the Outdoor Theatre, performances took place on Friday and Sunday afternoon, and both were well received by large audiences; photos from the performances can be found at the Box of Tricks Facebook page
In addition, the company will be performing their only London date at Theatre503 THIS EVENING, Thursday 22nd July @ 8pm. Tickets can be booked online through TicketWeb, by calling 020 7978 7040 or in person. Hope to see you there!

EmptyBox Theatre's Edinburgh fundraiser took place on Monday 5th July 2010, in support of their production of Norman Shadowboxer - being performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2010.
An incredibly supportive audience came along to The Horse pub in Lambeth for the event, and in return were entertained by the acts who took part. Below are a few snapshots of the evening.
The company would like to thank all of the acts who performed, and everyone who attended the event - as well as congratulating those who won prizes in the raffle!

EmptyBox Theatre will be holding a fundraiser event for their production of Norman Shadowboxer, in preparation for their run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2010.
The event will take place at The Horse pub in Lambeth on Monday 5th July, starting at 7:30pm. Tickets are £5 on the door, and acts performing include the following:

Box of Tricks Theatre's latest production, True Love Waits, will be performed at this year's Latitude Festival. Having already successfully performed as part of New Wolsey Ipswich's PULSE Festival 2010, Box of Tricks return to Suffolk to continue their tour of festivals with True Love Waits.

Dan is happy to announce that he has joined Box of Tricks Theatre as Associate Producer, and will be collaborating with them frequently in the near future on a number of projects.

Box of Tricks Theatre's Word:Play 3 recently enjoyed a sell-out run at Theatre503, and received a great response from audiences. Remote Goat had this to say about the production:
"We kick (or rather, push) off with Kenneth Emson's 'Shove'… A promisingly intriguing start and an engaging performance by Simon Darwen… Hannah Nicklin's 'Awake'… neatly engages in a poignant argument... aided by a terrific performance from Gunnarsson, evoking the spirit of a Jean-Pierre Jeunet hero. [In 'Struck by Love/Train', Natasha] James has great fun with Evan Placey's witty and poetic script…We end with Marcelo Dos Santos' 'Safety'… Dos Santos marries Pinter with Philip Ridley in a uniquely beguiling manner and the cast are excellent… Box of Tricks' evening is certainly interesting, even fascinating at times."

Rehearsals begin on Mon 15th March for Box of Tricks Theatre Company's Word:Play 3, which Dan is producing. The show will take place from Tue 30th March - Sat 3rd April 2010 at Theatre503, and tickets can be booked online through TicketWeb, or by calling 020 7978 7040.

Norman Shadowboxer was performed as part of Lyric Lounge at the Lyric Hammersmith, on Fri 26th February 2010. The event was a great success, and EmptyBox Theatre are now looking into a number of potential future directions in which to take the show - including touring and educational workshops.
Promotional material (including a DVD) are currently being prepared - if you are a venue or promoter and are interested in the production, then please get in touch.
