Blogging & Writing
In addition to his producing work, Dan is also currently increasing his output as a blogger - having had an interest in journalism and writing for some time, he is keen to identify opportunities to explore this as an additional career opportunity.
Dan's first foray into blogging came through writing regularly for the Arts Job Finder website during 2007-08, offering insights into the life of a graduate seeking to forge a career in the arts. Unfortunately, due to the website crashing these are no longer available online - but some copies are available to view on Dan's IdeasTap profile.
Having begun to establish himself as a producer, Dan returned to writing in 2010 and currently maintains his own blog entitled BurntArts. Covering issues related to theatre, the arts and cultural policy, it has grown over the past year and Dan's writing has been mentioned on The Guardian website on a number of occasions - in particular on the Noises Off blog, a weekly round-up of the best and most interesting theatre blogs on the internet. As well as his own blog, Dan also contributes for Arts Professional and IdeasTap, and blogged for EmptyBox Theatre during the 2010 Edinburgh Fringe.
Dan is currently keen to broaden his horizons and develop his practice in this field, and would be happy to hear from any websites, publications or editors who would wish to discuss his writing further. If this is of interest to you, then feel free to get in touch.
