Barbican Theatre Plymouth

Barbican Theatre Plymouth is an Arts Council England NPO, with a specific focus on developing local and emerging talent in theatre, dance and live performance from in and around the Plymouth area.

The venue plays host to a 140 seat auditorium and studio space, and also presents work in various other locations across the city. During the course of its history it has supported artists developing early works such as Bryony Kimmings, Le Navet Bete, Mars.tarrab, James Wilton Dance and Scratchworks Theatre.

Barbican Theatre Plymouth has frequently committed to co-producing and partnership working with a range of companies and partners. Works produced ranged from in-house Christmas shows and adaptations of Shakespeare classics, to co-commissioning of new works by local artists, to producing heritage pieces featuring young and emerging artists.
